單詞用法
news的基本意思是“新聞，消息”，指最近發(fā)生的公眾感興趣的事情或最近變化了的情況；也可指電視、廣播或報(bào)紙上對(duì)最近事情的報(bào)道；還可指當(dāng)作新聞內(nèi)容的人、物、事。
news是個(gè)不可數(shù)名詞，雖以-s結(jié)尾，但具有單數(shù)意義；作主語時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞須用單數(shù)形式。表示“條”“則”時(shí)不可直接用不定冠詞或數(shù)詞修飾?！耙粍t消息”可說a piece（bit,scrap〕of news，“幾條消息”可說pieces of news；報(bào)刊上刊登的“一則新聞”可以說an item of news或a news item，“多則新聞”則是items of news或news items。
